About LILINMOMO
Two names, two people, one print shop in Connecticut.
The name is not a branding exercise
LILINMOMO is Lili and Momo. That's it — that's the whole name. We started working together in 2019 and never came up with anything cleverer.
It started in an attic
We bought the printer and the cutter before we had anywhere sensible to put them. So they went up into the attic of Lili's house — exposed beams, a single bulb hanging off a rafter, floorboards that had been there a hundred years. That's where the first designs were drawn, the first rolls were printed, and the first orders were packed on a folding table.
It was not a studio. It was an attic with very expensive machines in it.
Then we outgrew the house
In 2022 we moved the machines out and rented a proper shop. Better light, better floors, room to unroll a mural full-length instead of in sections. The work didn't change — there was just finally space to do it.
We still make every order ourselves
Nothing here is drop-shipped or outsourced. Designs are drawn in-house, printed in-house on our own large-format machines, then cut, laminated, trimmed, and packed by the two of us. If something arrives wrong, you're not emailing a middleman — you're emailing the people who made it.
Seven years of listening
We're heading into our seventh year selling to families, and the most common message we get isn't a complaint. It's a question: can I get this in my colors?
For a long time the answer was a back-and-forth over email — swatches, mockups, a lot of guessing. That's why we built the color builder. Now you pick the colors yourself, see them before you order, and we make exactly that.
Beautiful walls. Happy little spaces.
That's the whole ambition. A rainbow above a crib that matches the room it's going into. A mural that makes a blank wall feel like somewhere. Made slowly, by two people who'd rather do it properly.
